Environmental
At Thornbridge, we are committed to protecting the environment and reducing our carbon footprint. We believe that it is our responsibility to minimise the impact of our activities on the environment and to help preserve the planet for future generations.
To achieve our goals, we have implemented a number of measures across our business, including:
- Recycling and waste reduction: We have a comprehensive recycling programme in place to reduce the amount of waste we produce. We also strive to reduce our consumption of single-use plastics wherever possible.
- Energy efficiency: We continuously monitor our energy usage and work to reduce our consumption by implementing energy-efficient practices and investing in renewable energy sources.
- Sustainable sourcing: We carefully select our suppliers to ensure that they share our commitment to sustainability. We source our raw materials from suppliers who use sustainable and ethical farming and production practices.
- Biodiversity preservation: We are committed to preserving the biodiversity of our local environment. We work to protect and enhance our natural habitats, including our woodlands, rivers, and meadows.
We believe that by taking these steps, we can make a positive impact on the environment and help create a more sustainable future. Thank you for your support in helping us achieve our environmental goals.
Certification
The Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC) is a global, non-governmental organization that is committed to responsible forest management practices. They strive to protect forests and the biodiversity they support while also promoting the well-being of the people who live and work in and around them. By setting rigorous standards for sustainable forest management, the FSC system enables businesses and consumers to confidently identify, purchase, and use forest products that come from responsibly managed forests or recycled sources.
Similarly, the Programme for Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC) is a prominent international alliance of national forest certification systems. Their goal is to encourage sustainable forest management practices through third-party certification. By promoting the responsible management of forests, PEFC aims to protect the environment, support local communities, and ensure the long-term availability of forest resources. Through their certification system, businesses and consumers can make informed choices about the forest products they use and help support sustainable forest management practices.
